Continuing with the Right Wing - Good Progress Today
Made a lot of progress today with the right wing. Completed the bottom middle skin that I attached yesterday and then flipped the wing over with the assistance of Tom, my neighbor. The pictures show how I secured the bottom skins so they did not flop around as we flipped the wing over over to the top side. Used 3 pieces of 3/8" soft nylon rope to secure the wing panels. Then attached the 3 upper wing panels. All of holes aligned just fine. Adam, pitched in to help when he got home from school at 3 pm. He learned real quick how to cleco, insert the LP4-3 rivets and then rivet them in place. The right wing is going a little bit faster than the left wing. Enough for today. Will attach the inboard wing doubler tomorrow and then rivet the remainder of the forward part of the right wing skins. Then on to the wingtips!
