Interior Colors - Aft Window

Spent the last couple of days trying to decide on the interior colors. Thus, no real progress on the 12. Purchased a roll of aluminum gutter flashing at Menards and tried the colors and textures I am thinking about. Looks like my final interior colors will be Valspar/Plexi-kote Gotham Grey and the powder coat color than Van uses on the pieces they supply.

Info on the powder coat color is as follows:

The "rattle can" match to Van's powder coat gray is supplied by Cardinal Industrial Finishes (El Monte, CA). The color match number is:
A-4108-GR230 GLOSS RAL 7035 LT. GRAY Aerosol, Touch Up Air Dry Acrylic Enamel
Their phone numbers are: 626-444-9274 or 323-283-9335. I will have to call them and see if the same paint is available in satin or flat.

Spent the majority of the day shopping for the paint, the masking tape, the detail tape, the clear coat, the kraft paper, etc.

Then fitted the rear window to the turtle deck skins.

Posted the following on the VAF forums.

Just finished cleco'ing the aft window after cleco'ing the turtle deck skins. It is installed but the process I used will not work with the turtle deck skins riveted. Loosened cleco's on the turtle deck skins to make window installation easier.

Looking for an easy way to install the window with the turtle deck skins permanently riveted.

SOMEONE must have a couple of hints or ideas.

The only thing I can think of requires 3 people. One on each side to push and squeeze the window inward (to approximate the final curvature), and a third to first fit the aft part of the window under the top of the turtle deck skins and then press down on the forward part of the window (in the forward center area) to get something again close to the correct curvature. Then it might slip into the sides of the turtle deck skins.

THERE MUST BE AN EASIER WAY TO DO THIS WITHOUT HARMING OR SCRATCHING THE WINDOW.

Will look at the responses.....

Before I installed the window I placed some tape on the edge of the window. Wanted to be able to trace the window footprint as I do not want the textured paint between the plexiglass and the turtle deck skins. Traced the edge with a Sharpie. They sell a Sharpie Fine Metallic at Wal-Mart which should just about disappear after priming.

UPDATE: I changed my mind and will paint the turtle deck skins the powdercoat color. So there was no need really to mark the window's position.

Match drilled the aft window to the roll bar. Cleco as you go and use a clamp to ensure the parts are together before drilling. Still have to open up the holes in the plexiglass. USE a plexiglass bit. And open up the holes in the roll bar to #36 before tapping them.

I may have to touch up the top of the roll bar. It took a beating.
